For Bizzythowed, years of relentless grinding have paid off. Last Monday night his work on The Weeknd's acclaimed Beauty Behind the Madness album was recognized with a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album. This comes in the midst of Bizzy's stepping out as a solo artist with his soon to be released project Blank Check Volume I.
We sat down with him to get his perspective on this milestone of an achievement and his thoughts on the future of his music. Here's what he had to say...
"It's great to be recognized at such a level for being a part of an innovative artist's maturity and meteoric rise in the game. Even though it's a huge accomplishment, I will really feel fulfillment receiving a Bizzythowed Grammy someday soon." -Bizzythowed
Each time he achieves something great, his first thought is "what's next?" as if to say with an undoubted certainty that more mind-blowing moments lay ahead. Through all of his accomplishments in the industry he has stayed true to himself and his work. For artists of his status, many great opportunities come your way without solicitation.
