PORTLAND, OR - On a cold, rainy November weekend in Portland we met up with MUNTA of Wsk (aka Eric Mpwo) to throw down a collaborative session of creativity. MUNTA is a break dancer and visual artist who's drive and talent are deeply rooted in a passion to create and take on new approaches. Having a friendly smile and a good sense of humor are instrumental to success, and are both qualities he exhibits daily.
MUNTA has been break dancing since he was a teen and has had a talent for drawing as long as he can remember. His art skills with paint, pencils, and pens are equally as strong. Most of his latest work has been pen & ink illustrations which have recently lead him into doing tattoo design. Finding his way into new realms of art, is something he welcomes with open arms.
For Eric, art is a constant journey of self-discovery and expression from the heart. When he paints, his process is thought out and layered well with vibrant colors. Via his Instagram he shows his fans the progression of different pieces he works on. This connectivity and openness has seen his work onto the walls of Portland's galleries and collectors.
